Don't let the old building judge stopping.super good southern country food fairly quick with a friendly smile! Huge plate lunch,tax and tip 10 bucks forget fast food get good food fast for much less. The inside is very dated but CLEAN,im 45 miles away and plenty of food joints in between but Im going back Thursday for another BBQ plate and I will visit often the day I was there they also had salmon cakes, chicken casserole,BBQ don't remember the 4th,BBQ was all I needed to see! Portion sizes are very large!
We were staying across the street in our RV and walked over for breakfast. Service was quick and the food was very good. The sausage gravy and biscuits were delicious! Great prices too!

It's been awhile since I've been here, but it was my dad's favorite spot to eat and socialize... and they always had great food but also very sweet people!! I'll always have good memories of Ocie's when thinking of my dad who has now passed, and thankful to those for making this a wonderful place for him as well as the community. Truly the heart of Mt. Airy! I'll drop in for sure next time I'm in town.
This is a mom and pop style diner restaurant offering breakfast and lunch. The restaurant is roomy with a good layout. The staff is so friendly and the food is amazing. Parking is abundant. I get a different dish every time I visit and have yet to be disappointed. Love the omelet and pancakes which are huge and I can only eat one but they come in single or stack ordering options. This is one of the best priced restaurants I have ever been to. I would expect to pay much more considering the quality and portion sizes. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed dining experience that delivers in all areas a restaurant should accommodate. Ocies does more than accommodate, they excel. The owner is on site and is down to earth, very easily approachable.
Stopped in Mt Airy for the night. Got up at 430, found this place open by time I left so I stopped. Table full of old timer regulars drinking coffee, friendly server who knew the orders of everyone that walked in, who she knew by name. Fantastic food and coffee. Had gravy biscuits, sausage and cheese omelet, and fried bologna. 11/10 for early morning breakfast!
Our waitress, Pamela, is probably one of the best servers you’ll ever encounter in your life! What a delightful person! Very attentive, quick and extremely friendly. Ask for her!
